Lefthanded Rolex Datejust Reference 6305

Lefthanded Rolex Datejust Reference 6305

A few months ago a friend of mine told me that he had acquired a lefthanded Rolex Datejust.  I unfortunately never managed to get to see the watch as he sold it quickly.  Not sure if this is “his” former watch or not?  I just thought the idea of the crown being on the left side of the case to be quite interesting. I wonder how hard it was to do that and which changes were needed in the movement?

This ROLEX REF. 6305-2 is a LEFT-HANDED DATEJUST made of STEEL.   This Oyster Perpetual DateJust, Officially Certified Chronometer has Serial number 110721 dating it to appx.1956. This watch has an automatic movement based on caliber 1030. The dial is “Swiss” only meaning that this is a Radium dial and the hands look like matching Radium hands.  The bezel looks like a Turnograph bezel.
