Maitres du Temps is a collaboration of several masterwatchmakers, among them Andreas Strehler, Kari Voutilainen, and others.
They have so far created 3 watches, the Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and Chapter 3. The first two being huge tonneau caseshaped and the last one a round case.
Chapter 1 is a handwound timepiece, while Chapter 2 is automatic. Chapter 3 is again handwound.
These timepieces are really exeptional. They are a true piece of haute horlogerie.
Chapter 1 displays Date, day and moonphase combined with a chronograph.
Isn’t this a beautiful back?
Meanwhile, Chapter 2 is displaying the date and day:
Personally, I like the Chapter 2 dial very much.
While the Chapter 1 has a beautifully decorated handwound movement, the Chapter 2 receives its energy from an automatic rotor.
Now, the most amazing piece as I found is the Chapter 3:
This timepiece has two little windows at 12 and 6 o’clock. The windows are opened by the crown, it is a very intricate mechanism. The two windows open to show the hidden day/night on roller at 12 o’clock
and the hidden time zone on roller at 6 o’clock.
