Today marks a new chapter for the MB&F Legacy Machine ‘Split Escapement’ series: presenting the LM SE Titanium Green!
You may recall the first LM Split Escapement editions, launched back in 2017: four different versions all in 18K white gold cases, with “frosted” dial plates in blue, ruthenium, rose gold or yellow gold. Like other previous Legacy Machines crafted in grade 5 titanium, this new edition gets a sun-ray, green CVD dial.
Inside, the unconventional Split Escapement movement created with our Northern Irish friend Stephen McDonnell. Unconventional, because the regulating system has been split between the top of the movement – where you can admire the oversized flying balance wheel, revolving on its own – and the back of the movement, where you’ll find the anchor and escapement wheel. The secret of this unorthodox construction? An extra-long shaft of 12mm that goes right through the movement, connecting the regulating system’s essential components.
Retail price of the LM SE Titanium Green, limited to 33 pieces, is CHF 64,000 (USD 68k or EUR 59k) + VAT.
