Just a couple days ago, Breguet opened its newest boutique in New York City. The opening event was held at the Fifth Avenue Flagship-Boutique which will be located at the St. Regis Hotel.
Breguet invited around 100 guest to present the completely renoved Salon to them which was also designed with a new architectural concept. The boutique has about 2400 SQF and is inspired with matte glas elements with a guilloche decor that are derived from the artisanal skills of the brand.
A watchmaker was present during the evening who showed the art of guilloche to the invited guests. In addition,, two exceptional timepieces were shown.
One of the replica of Sir Winston Churchill’s “turnip”.
It was designed for the movie “Darkest Hour” where Gary Oldman played the role of the famous British statesman.
The second timepiece was a pocketwatch from the year 1817.
It is one of the 35 known Tourbillon watches which Abraham-Louis Breguet made in his life.
The new Breguet Boutique is located close to Central Park and the Museum of Modern Art.
