The Moritz Grossmann Hamatic is a very special timepiece with a unique hammer automatic winding mechanism based on an old automatic movement design originating from Perrelet and later used by Abraham-Louis Breguet in the 19th century who sold around 80 to 90 pocketwatches with this movement. More information about the historical background can be found in below links. However, it is paramount to understand that these watchmakers served as inspiration for the Hamatic movement, but this new movement is neither a copy nor anywhere near the old movement design. Instead it took over 2 years to develop this movement and make it work properly and efficiently in this modern watch from Moritz Grossmann.
As of today, Moritz Grossmann presented their latest edition of the Hamatic, this time with a black dial and vintage style logo. This new model with black dial and vintage logo is limited to 25 pieces only and offered at 48000 Euro including German VAT of currently and only temporarily 16% due to Corona. Our bespoke and customizing service
Moritz Grossmann can make you your watch with your personal “configuration”. This could be a different dial color, or a different kind of dial with a different design, be it arabic numbers instead of roman numbers, or a dial with letters of your name or indices reflecting your cultural or religious heritage. The options are endless. There are also possibilities to create enamel dials or guilloche dials.
