This is a truly rare Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Paul Newman with reference 6262. This reference was made only for about one year in 1969 – 1970. So of all the Rolex Daytonas out there with Paul Newman dial or exotic dial as it is called, this has to be the rarest version. It already has the upgraded caliber 727.
The watch is untouched, still original and in great condition but not unworn.
To show you the true condition of the dial, there are macroshots attached here. You can see the lumeplots which are still original tritium plots.
The Paul Newman or exotic dial here is the two color version instead of the more known three color variant. This is a quite rare dial as well original too this reference.
This watch is offered to a discerning gentleman or lady. The steel case is a 37mm case which can be worn by both men or women.
I love the pump pushers on this watch. For me, a chronograph always reminds me of chronographs with pump pushers. That is a characteristic of chronos, at least in my personal perception. The touch and feel of pushing them is just cool.
I have been trading vintage Rolex for 20 years now. January 2018 is my anniversary. It has been an amazing journey and a great experience.
