This timepiece took 5 years to make and was made by a single master watchmaker. The price is said to be around 1 Million USD. But just looking at the amount of functions this watch delivers is mindboggling. I would say that this shows the true ability of Vacheron Constantin to make exceptional timepieces. And what I read is that this watch was not really derived or shares functions with the master complication pocketwatch reference 57260 which is considered to be the most complicated watch ever made with 57 complications.

I don’t know if I will ever get a chance to view this timepiece live and in person, but who knows. It probably depends on if and how fast Vacheron Constantin can or wants to sell this watch? At the end of the day, this is a watch where this old maison is just showing what they CAN do, but as this is a unique piece, we will most likely never get to see it. Ultimately I view such a mega timepiece as a way of advertising and PR gig by Vacheron Constantin. It will be shown a lot in the media and contributes to the brand’s popularity.
While a lot of people may think that it is crazy to buy such an expensive timepiece, I believe that there is a market for everything, people dream of Ferrari or Bugatti, so why not? I think this is a phantastic and amazing accomplishment by one of the grandest maisons in Switzerland. For any true watchlover, this would mean the pinnacle of their dreams.
