There is an upcoming auction in New York City on April 10th, 2013 by the famous auction house Antiquorum.
I noticed that there are two exceptional timepieces coming to the auction.
Let me talk about the first one, a Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar, reference 1518, from the early 1950s. A rare timepiece which has fetched very high prices in the past.
You can find detailed information here.
Second, Rolex made only very few complicated timepieces. In modern days, the Skydweller is notably an exceptional and complicated annual calendar. In the past, there were two watch with annual calendar, the reference 6062, and 8171. There is a rosegold 8171 coming to the auction in New York City, and I will be curious to watch at which pricepoint it will sell. It is estimated to fetch between 70000-100000 USD, however, I would expect it to fetch quite a bit more than that. Let’s see what happens at the auction…
