Maîtres du Temps is a watchmanufacture which is based on the collaboration of several of the greatest master watchmakers in the world. Among them you find Andreas Strehler, who accounts in large parts for the creation of this timepiece together with Kari Voutilainen.
When I visited Baselworld in 2012, Andreas Strehler took the time to explain to me the making of this watch.
This timepiece is called the Chapter Three Reveal which is a really interesting watch with some interesting functionality.
The interesting additional Feature of this watch can be found at 6 o’clock:
This timepiece is called the reveal because it “reveal(s) a second time zone indicator and a day/night indicator, both displayed on Maîtres du Temps’ signature rollers” at 6 o’clock. A little “door can be opened with the pusher at 6 o’clock to show this. A very cool Feature!
Meanwhile, the movement design and architecture stems primarily from Kari Voutilainen while Andreas Strehler is responsible for the “technical interface between movement, complication and case, including the ingenious ‘reveal’ opening/closing mechanism, in addition to devising innovative production methods and technical Solutions”.
I believe it is safe to say that Maîtres du Temps is a creative powerhouse with some of the most creative masterminds at work.
