Speedy Tuesday event in Noordwijk, Netherlands

Today Fratellowatches

and Omega invited watchenthusiasts and collectors to attend the Speedy Tuesday Event at the ESA Center in Noordwijk.

The Event presented different vintage Omega Speedmaster pieces including an early 1950s Broad Arrow.

In Addition, several of the new models were presented. Last but not least, Mr. Ragan from NASA who was responsible for the selection of the Omega Speedmaster for the space missions attended the Event and gave a short speech about the history that NASA and the Omega Speedmaster are sharing.

I took the time to shoot as many Pictures as possible to Show you impressions from the Event. Hope you enjoy it. Let me start with some Omega Stickers first:

How about some Speedies now, among them prototypes and rare pieces:

 (1967 orange Hand Speedmaster)

Not only was there an orange Hand speedy at the Event, but also a red Hand with lume, take a look.  I have never seen a speedy with red Hand before:

(FAP – FUERZA AEREA PERU caseback)

 (Mattingly, an american Astronaut, engraving)

 (X33 prototype)

(You may wonder who owned the above Speedmaster, it was owned by Reinhard Furrer, the Astronaut, who died in a plane Crash.)

(Broad Arrow from 1957, first Omega Speedmaster)

Spread the love
