French watchmaker Alain Silverstein sold 30000 watches in the past 25 years. While his sales were dropping in many regions, they grew by 200% in Asia in the past six months. This unfortunately could not prevent the liquidation process.
Alain Silverstein is a big name in the watchmaking world. He is known for his creativity, for his designs and colorful and playful timepieces. And last but not least for his passion. All this was not enough to save his enterprise. He says that he wants to start over again, possibly in Switzerland or even somewhere far away. We will see. I hope we will see a revival.
