Fake Rolex wallclocks and the authentic Rolex wallclock

Fake Rolex wallclocks and the authentic Rolex wallclock

The internet is sometimes like a free space, reigned by a strange kind of anarchy under the watching eye of government.  There is no way it can be fully controlled.  And that is what some people are using, and sometimes abusing.

One thing are fake and counterfeit items from famous brandnames.  And one of the most faked and counterfeited brands in the world is Rolex.

For quite a while I have been searching to find an authentic Rolex wallclock.  And as luck or should I rather state bad luck wanted it, I found one, which turned out to be a fake Rolex wallclock a long time afterwards.

I want to discuss the topic of fake and real authentic wallclocks in this post and give you some examples.  Generally, you can expect that most Rolex wallclocks are fake.  Unfortunately, but that is the reality of what we generally see.

I am going to show you why I can make such a statement.

Let me start with one of the very few real and authentic Rolex wallclocks:

And here you can take a look at a fake Rolex wallclock:

Here you see the back and you can see the scratching below the battery space:

It is fake, because on the back, you can read “Made in China” although in most cases, this sign of “Made in China” right below the battery is scratched away, but it clearly shows the scratching then.  We found one sample where the “Made in China” was still readable despite the scratching. I am confident that the sellers must know it, or maybe they don’t know it, but they should.

Real authentic Rolex dealer clocks are issued to their Rolex authorized dealers and are not for resale.

What I have seen are that there are fake Rolex Daytona, Rolex Submariner, Rolex Yachtmaster fake wallclocks.  The only real authentic dealer wallclock is the one you see above which resembles most to the Datejust.

There may be some other dealer clocks, but at this point, I am not sure.  I have also seen a Swiss company that seems to make Rolex wallclocks, but again, I am not sure about that, and I used to have the link to the company saved, but lost it in a harddrive crash.  I cannot find it currently again.

As soon as I find out more, I will post this here as well.

I am always glad for more input, for corrections, and more information on these wallclocks, so please feel free to post in the comments section.  The more information we can gather, the better.

Let me know what you know…

Spread the love
