Rolex Double Red Seadweller Ref. 1665 Mark 4 dial

Rolex Double Red Seadweller Ref. 1665 Mark 4 dial

The Rolex Seadweller Reference 1665 was first introduced in 1967, a year known for some of the best wines in the world, a year where Rolex came out with their best dive watch to date.

This Mark IV dial Double Red Seadweller is from around 1975.  Just a few years later, Rolex stopped making the red dialed Seadweller and introduced one with white writing.

This example shows a very beautifully patinaed vintage Rolex, the indices as well as the hands and the pearl in the bezel all have the same kind of vanilla colored patina.  A very warm patina which looks absolutely stunning in real.

The case is nice and fat.

This Seadweller is getting harder and harder to find in good condition, primarily because they were toolwatches, they were used for tough jobs.
