Blancpain just presented a unique piece, the Blancpain Villeret Calendrier Chinois Traditionnel in a platinum case, sized at 45mm.
While the Villeret Calendrier Chinois has been around in other case materials like Rosegold, this is a first and unique piece in rare platinum casing. Platinum is considered to be harder than Gold, it is much more expensive than Gold and rarer. Platinum watch tend to be viewed by collectors and enthusiasts as the epitome of watches.
This timepiece has a very special dial: It is made of Jade, a green stone enhanced with grand feu champlevé enamel on a white gold base plate. The calibre is the known 3638 with 7 days powerreserve. The watch has a perpetual calendar, a moonphase and a chinese calendar.
